What’s Santa got in his sack?

So are all mums and dads and grandparents alike wondering ‘where did November disappear to?’

We certainly are!  Was the month of November 2016 shortened somehow?

Do you remember when you were a kid how November seemed to be the longest month ever?  Those horrible dark mornings going to school, as the clocks turning back didn’t seem to make an iota of difference.  The relentless rain stopping playtime in the playground, so the day at school seemed to drag on forever.
Now, with the onset of parenthood and age, the November of old has suddenly become a time machine, speeding fast forward to christmas.  Oh to be a child again!

The GeckoBox team has turned into a whirling dervish, creating, researching, drawing, shopping, writing and editing.  Phew its been hectic.

Christmas Fairs in Spain

Then on top of that, we have made our debut on the Christmas Fair circuit thanks to Ali Meehan from Costa Women in Business who suggested the fair.

Our much loved Cudeca charity here in Spain have regular fund raising events, and last weekend was their local Christmas fair. They certainly know how to create an atmosphere.   First of all we had Christmas Carols, followed by magic, and a fabulous dance routine from Banana Studios who have to be given credit for performing on the smallest dance floor ever!  The  fabulous ChoirAndaluz finished off the proceedings with their usual stylish and polished performance.

Then , oh wonders of wonders, Father Christmas turned up…and look what he has in his hand…Yes it is a MyGeckoBox Christmas Creations craft box!

Fairy Craft BoxWe had all sorts of boxes on sale, not just our Christmas creations box, and we all had to smile as one little girl was so smitten with the Woodland Fairy box… she was almost climbing in it!  I am guessing that will be appearing on her letter to Santa.

So our next Christmas fair is this weekend in Mijas La Cala in aid of Diabetes, and the 2 weekends following after that we will be at English International College in Marbella and then at Swans International School in Marbella.  We are going to be busy.

Our Face book page and Twitter account will be keeping you all up to date with what is happening in our events diary.

Don’t forget. as well as our small selection of boxes in our online shop we are primarily a Subscription Box company and produce new boxes every month that we send out to our subscribers all over Europe.

Surprisingly we were asked several times by people What is a subscription box ?

This is such big business in the UK and USA, you can have almost anything delivered to your front door now from food boxes to beauty products.  We just assumed everyone knows what one is, but here in Spain it is still a relatively new concept.  So in short, this is how it works to those of you who are not sure…
